Join the Alladin: Do the Reusable Challenge

In this fast-paced civilization, governed by modern technology, everything is made instant and disposable. Instant coffee, noodles, meal and other stuffs which could be used only once and then disposed so easily. The problem is, as the population tends to grow bigger each year, the more disposable materials we consume or use. These waste could be in the form used plastic bottles, coffee mugs, meals boxes and other one time use plastic containers.  And since these are non-biodegradable stuffs, the world gets even more polluted as we throw things every now and then. We are the contributors of such problem! Slowly, we are destroying the world that we are about to pass to our children and grandchildren of the future generations. According to statistics:

Seven million barrels of oil are used to produce the disposable bottles Americans go through in one year.

● In the United States, 50 billion disposable water bottles are consumed per year; 137,000 per day; 1,585 per second.

● It costs about $165 a year to make drip coffee at home versus $636 to buy drip coffee at your local café.

● Unless we change our habits, 23 billion paper coffee cups will be thrown out in 2010.

● Nine dollars will generally cover a decent lunch out. If you buy rather than pack a lunch five days a week, you shell out about $2,350 a year.

For this reason, I would like to invite you in joining the coolest and newest "Eco-saving cause" that would made an impact in preserving mother Earth and saving excess expenses through recycling. It's called the "Alladin: Do the Reuse Challenge!" Yes, you heard it right. Since recycling is the major key in preventing this problem to come to its worst, we recommend to each individual or family to ACCEPT challenge and be apart of this worth doing activity.

Here's how to join! Simply divulge yourself to a 30 day commitment of giving up disposables and start using reusable bottles, mugs, meal box, tumblers and other things that can be recycled. Start by packing your own meal and making your own cup of coffee. It would not take so much of your time and yet you can even enjoy your personalized taste of it. I did try this method and saved almost half of my weekly budget which really came surprising for me. If you don't have reusables, you can visit www.shopaladdin-pmi.com to avail in their special offers and discounts on reusable items. Secondly, invite more people to join and be a part of this cause.

I myself would live on to the challenge and start giving up disposables by using reusable stuffs. I find it as worth doing, helping to the community (we only have one earth, so we better take care of it) and it saves a lot of unnecessary expenses. In such way, I can be secured in saying that there is still a world waiting for those people who will live next to me.

Blog Leave?

I don't know what happen to me lately but it seems like I've been loosing the gist of posting something! Maybe just because my mind was so pre-occupied with a lot of things. 90 days more and its going to be the NLE day, where we will be bringing out everything we have prepared to pass the exam and become registered as a full pledge nurse.

As days gets near to it, I'm trying to double time in my preparations so that I can make it. There maybe times wherein I can't post anything for the upcoming days but definitely, I'll be doing my best to post some within the week.

Please pray for me that God would grant me the confidence and the wisdom to deal with the questions and problems I met along the way. Please do also pray for my bestfriend/girlfriend KARREN who is currently training in Manila as a Jail Officer. That's  one of my concerns now, that she will endure throughout that rigid training!

Please continue to support my meme Saturday Bloopers and I will be launching another one next time. Thanks a lot and God bless us all!

MYM: Me - 5 years ago

This was me 5 years ago... I can't imagine how I got bigger every year. It's just that my favorite past time is eating and drinking a lot of sodas. So if you can see me today personally, you would really see the progress!

God is indeed blessing me so much and I'm quite abusive to it!
Hoping I loose more pounds at the end of the year...

and enjoy viewing more shades of mellow yellow photos!
