Thankful in Everything

I want to be thankful that God has granted the long time awaited job to my girlfriend/bestfriend.

Being thankful that there are people who support me a lot in my endeavors.

Thankful that my exercise routines were effective and I'm starting to loose weight again.

Thankful for the consciousness of sharing what I have to other people.

Also for the blessings I've been recieving lately. I can't count them anymore. There's too many of them.

Lastly, for the breath of life that until now, I am still enjoying.

Good or Bad things happen lately, but still I want to be thankful for everything....EVERYTHING!

TT: Ranked 2nd at Lighthouse Got Talent!

For this Thursday, I want to be thankful for the favor that God showed to our lighthouse group last Sunday evening! As I did mention last time, in the 24th year thanksgiving anniversary of our church, which was held last Sunday, we had this competition called "Lighthouse Got Talent" wherein each member of our lighthouses will present a production number that exposes the talent of each member, based on the culture of each group. We really prepared for it and I'm happy that every effort and sacrifices made by our group really paid off. We ranked 2nd place and receive another special award. It's an honor for us to show to everyone what we really got as a lighthouse. Thank God, we were able to make it! I would also like to extend my congratulations to other lighthouses who presented outstandingly on that night. And for the production staffs and committees, GREAT JOB!

Thankful Heart

This Thursday, I want to be thankful to God for the odd events that happened in my life. My week was not that good compared to the previous ones, and I've been going through something that really hit me hard! Just this week, I failed 2 exams that I prepared on. I wasn't expecting that it would turn out that worst. Though I recognized that the exam was difficult, I did not anticipate that it would get through me, after realizing that I'm one of those who failed. 

I really hate failures, especially when it comes to examination. I have traumatic experiences on it before which have led me to a resolve that I won't fail any exam ever again, whether it may come easy or difficult as it may seem. Yet, here I am now, trying to face the same situation. The fact that no one passed did not even comforted me. I was so focused on why did I fail? In the other hand, something went wrong between me and my bestfriend which adds pain to my distress. 

At the peak of my despair, God just reminded me about 1 Thessalonians 5:18 which tells us that we should be thankful in everything for this is the will of God for me or you in Christ Jesus. Life may have been tough for me right now, but a thankful heart will always be a great remedy for heavy disappointments and frustrations.

To my surprise, just this morning during our review, I was being appreciated and recognized as one of the top scorers on the total tabulated results of our previous exams. Aside from enjoying that honor, my bestfriend (for whatever reasons that I didn't know) decided to accept my proposal of becoming my girlfriend. Then it made my day! Finally, it's now an official relationship. I do now have my chance of showing her the love that God has given me for her.

God is indeed a person filled with surprises. You'll just be shocked one day that all things are working out according to what He planned for you, without even you noticing it. You'll be amazed and astounded by the weight of his goodness and faithfulness to your life. At the end of the day, all you can say is... Thank you LORD!

I've been working so hard to increase my page rank for the past weeks and now is my clear chance to have a brighter glimpse of that site rank I've always been dreaming of.

East West Review Lecturers

For this Thursday, I want to be thankful for the knowledge that was imparted to me by my review professors. As I was saying last week, I'm currently taking my review prior to our Nursing Licensure Exam which will be on the 19th and 20th of December. It's a long term preparation though, but still I'm getting anxious as the days draw near to such event. Since this would be the determining factor if I got what it takes to qualify as one of the new sets of registered nurses here in our country, I got to prepare for it. 

But let me go back to the portion where I would offer my gratitude to my first 2 review professors namely Ms. Corinne Lirazan and Mr. Art Sarrosa who made learning so easy and SUPER fun for me and for the rest of my batchmates. There were topics that I only understood today and not when I was still in college, when you both have explained it clearly. Though my professors in college were also good but you guys were OUTSTANDING and One a Kind! If I only knew that you both were long-time educators from other university, then I could have enrolled myself there and learn so much from the both of you.

Thank you very much for helping me to become that noble person we always dreamed of - a knowledgeable, competent and compassionate NURSE, who's always prepared and ready to save lives whenever the need calls it. God really blessed me with great people I can depend as I go along with my journey! May you continue to inspire more people like ME!

TT: Thanks!!!

 I want to thank God for the following things that happened in my life for this past week!

• For allowing me to enroll on my review classes before taking the Nursing Licensure Exam. That despite of the financial problems we encounter as a family (since my review would really cost me some amount), God still provided our needs FAITHFULLY. Everyday I woke up with His grace and His miraculous power working in my life.

• Secondly, for providing people to encourage me, on not to give up on my calling and to pursue every dreams and aspirations God has implanted in my heart. I know that I will get there somehow. I just need to have faith and believe! Thanks to Pastor John!!! A great mentor and a father of mine who sees me more than anyone else.

• Lastly, for my Parents! They keep on working sooooooo hard just to offer me the BEST support I can get and a brighter future. I really appreciate the extra miles you always took, just for me to be comfortable in my situation. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!! In return, I'll promise to give my best in everything, for me to become that son that you can always be proud of.

For these things, I want to return 

back the glory to whom glory is due...

Thankful Thursday: Rains are Blessings

Another thing to thank this Thursday is the rain that keeps on coming EVERYDAY. Though some people take it as a hassle, I was reminded that I ask for this during drought season when we've been suffering from consecutive black-outs due to hydraulic power shortages.

People were complaining due to floods that is happening around the neighborhood recently. Despite of this incidents, raining for me is a sign of God's blessing and provision of water. Water is a very essential element in a persons life. Man can survive for a period of time without food but not without water. I take this heavy rainy season as a good sign of blessings from East, West, North and South that are now ready to jive into my life! 

I've been quite upset these past days because of some things that did not happen the way I expected it to become. Well, God has a reason for everything and in His time, He makes all things beautiful. I know I just have to trust Him, I just know it! For my rains are on their way to fill me up again!

Thankful Thursday: Count Your Blessings

 

There are countless of reasons for me to thank God about this week. But let me focus to a certain person who gives me the chance to earn through my writing skills. He's a friend from NYC. His name is Henley Chiu, founder of the Snubbr.com. 

I wasn't really expecting that he would turn up up one day and ask me, "Hey Christian, can you write something for me about this certain thing (advertise this product) and I'll pay you for it." Well, it's not to brag that I'm really good about this advertising stuffs, but he believes in me so I just grab the opportunity. Though it was just simple yet it really helped me a lot, especially now wherein I am saving every penny I have for my upcoming licensure examination as a full-pledged registered nurse. It would really cost me a lot and I don't want to depend on my parents money anymore, that's why I'm working my ass so hard to save enough cash for my future review expenses. 

I know that what Henley gives me can't suffice everything that I need, but I always do believe that it is IMPORTANT to give thanks in all things, just as mentioned by our Father in His word and to count every blessings you receive no matter how small or big it is! Hopefully, I could get more opportunities to generate income such as like what I have with Henley so that I can make it during the licensure exam. But all in all, I'm very much grateful!!! Thanks a lot my friend...

If there's one thing that I wanna be thankful of - that is for having this "one of a kind" FAMILY:

For PAPA: Being away from your family is not easy, i know. You gave up your chance to have those days being with the ones you love (US - your family) just to earn a living and give us a great life you want us to have. For all the sacrifices and pain you have to bare for us to have a brighter future and everything we ever wanted. For the skills you taught me, encouragements and words of wisdom. Most of all, for leading me to serve the God that you serve. Thank you!

For MAMA: For waking up early in the morning just to cook and prepare everything we need for the rest of the day. For praying every night and looking after us for the past 20 years. For loving us unconditionally and forgiving us every time we commit mistakes. Thank you!

For my Brothers June Birth & A J:  For obeying and respecting my decisions as the eldest among us 3. For reminding me to be responsible whenever you look up on me. For helping me cleaning the house, doing the laundry and washing the dishes. Thank you!

For God: For keeping our family together and blessing us extraordinarily. For protecting each one of us everyday and guiding us throughout the seasons. For expanding our territories, favors and your grace that always abound in our lives. For your LOVE that is beyond any measure and comprehension. Thank you sooooo much!!!

Funny how this movie became a reality in my life. This week I earned PHP 3500 just for singing 2 weddings in a row. I really thank God for the opportunity and the blessings I've been receiving recently. I'm still expecting for more from a Great Generous God who provided the needs of His people.
